With Father’s Day around the corner and June packed with graduations, it may be time to consider a watch gift from a brand with a true legacy that is also celebrating. This year, famed watch and jewelry brand Bulgari celebrates its 130th anniversary. As such, the Rome-based House has pulled out all the stops when it comes to celebrating in style.
Not only did the brand unveil to the world a record-breaking watch in the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon — the World’s thinnest Tourbillon at 1.95mm for the movement and 5mm for the finished watch — but also, it unveils a host of special new products for the anniversary. Additionally, Bulgari hired world renowned architect Peter Marino to refurbish its flagship boutique on Via Condotti in Rome, and announced its positioning as the sole sponsor of the restoring of the famed Spanish Steps.New Bulgari Octo Finissimo
In terms of timepieces, the brand focuses squarely on the Octo collection of classic, yet modern, timepieces that deftly blend the Gerald Genta (which Bulgari owns) Octo iconic look with Bulgari for its own classic appeal. The new Bulgari Octo watches are generally crafted in stainless steel with 18-karat pink gold accents.
Top craftsmanship comes into play as the brand boasts sapphire crystals with double-sided anti-reflective coatings, sapphire casebacks for viewing the BVL 193 caliber, and a Manufacture mechanical movement with automatic winding and date. The watch boasts a number of other features, but suffice it to say it is a definite Bulgari winner. There are also a host of other new timepieces for men and women from Bulgari coming our way soon – so be sure to check in regularly.A look at the exclusive, limited edition Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon
